How do you take your coffee? As you may have guessed by now, in my home, we like our café con leite.
This post is number three of four for the month of October so we thought we’d keep it short – and sweet.
We bring to you a recipe for homemade French Vanilla Creamer. This recipe, as with all the best recipes, is open to substitutions and is the result of much trial-and-error on our part in getting it right (to our taste). We hope you enjoy and share with us your thoughts and coffee-related recipes!
Homemade French Vanilla Creamer
- 1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk (we prefer La Lechera for this and various recipes and tend to buy it in bulk)
- 1.5 cups milk (whole milk has been the winner for our recipe)
- 1.5 tablespoons vanilla extract
- Cinnamon for garnish (optional)
Mix condensed milk, milk, and vanilla extract with a whisk (or spoon) until fully mixed.
Refrigerate and enjoy for up to five days (or until it is gone). We store our creamer in a nice glass pitcher for easy pouring.
How do you like your coffee? Do you have any special coffee recipes?
Tea drinkers: We would love to hear your thoughts too! What is your favorite tea? Do you add anything special?
